Yesterday Pres. Obama announced a $50 Billion funding plan for public works. Do you see what the power of the blog is? My Whitehouse sources tell me that Obama read my blog (he is an avid reader of POB and RPLS.com) and decided it was time to fund our profession. My last blog entitled "Where are the Bailouts for Surveyors and Engineers?" was a real rainmaker for our industry.
So let's see, $50Billion, divided among 50 states is $1B each. That won't fund even half of a Woodrow Wilson Bridge or a third of the Washingto DC mixing bowl project. OK so i may need to write another blog for a second round of funding.
