Thanks for sharing.  I'll have to read it too.  Have done a fair amount of ground truth/picture points and photogrammetric control.  Not so much now, but it's still an interest.

Glad you found it of some value MountainHermit.   I no longer am involved with that type of surveying and photogrammetry, but I enjoyed it when I was.  I think it was a great experience, learning AeroTriangulation and evaluating analytical bridging results. When I moved on to direct-georeferencing, getting realistic and accurate control check points was important so you could eliminate errors in interpretation, and isolate the systematic errors in the DG solution.   It made you realize the issues with ground control are beyond knowing how to measure (that was actually the smallest error budget in ground control accuracy).
