Shouldn't you be someplace warm this time of year?  Excellent pictures as always.  Been thru Dutch a few times.  Always exciting landing on a short strip in a jet with water on both ends, a cliff to one side and the airport terminal on the other.

Nice pics, Daryl.  Guess you're going out to Atka for us after Akutan. Mike from MLA was just here at my office getting clear on the scope out there.  Wish I was going out, love the Aleutians.  If you need anything besides what I gave Mike, feel free to call me at CE2 (907)349-1010. Later,

Just this evening on some cable channel was a show called Alaska Wings that featured the Goose, Dutch Harbor and Akutan and the weather.

Excellent as usual Daryl.  It doesn't look as inhospitable as I would have expected, escpecially this time of year.

Nice photos- It looks like we will be sending a crew out to see the area in March-April for staking on the new runway and infrastructure. If you know of anybody that wants to spend a month or so there, have them send me a message---

It looks like so much fun Daryl that YOU should pay ME to send you out there.  Another paid vacation "out on the islands".

And we gotta talk about that receiver.

Looking forward to the next batch of photos. Winter light looks the same the world over.

What's going to be easiest for surveying the detail, walk along the slope, or up and down?
