3D Laser Scanning Featured in Boston Globe

John Dyer of the Boston Globe highlighted some of the 3D laser scanning work done by Feldman Land Surveyors. The firm rendered 3D images of some historic sites in Boston, including the Paul Revere House, and its pro-bono work has paid dividends. The company now is doing 3D scanning projects for the Boston Public Library. According to company presiden Michael Feldman:

“I knew on a business level it would be good."

That is close to home for me. The Charles W. Morgan was a vessel out of New Bedford where I was born. You can see that it says New Bedford in the scan imsgr of the stern board. People always thought it was a great mistake to sell it to the Mystic Museum however I am glad they are taking care of it.

Finally, the secret staircase. Wow.
