HP Designjet T1200 Plotter Issues

Posted by George Wooden on Nov 5, 2010 3:28 pm

Our firm just got a new $18,000 plotter.  We are having problems getting it to plot images.  Currently we are using drivers from the 1050C we used to have.  This new plotter seems to have major issues with rotated images.  I don't know if this an issue with our computers and memory and how they relate using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 or is it the plotter?  Anybody out there have any thoughts or have seen this before?  Thanks in advance.

Who set the plotter up for you? If you have this plotter on a network it is best to have someone familar with the issues associated with drivers. Most new plotters take a bit of "tweaking" to get them to meet your custom needs. Just offhand, I would say the 1055 drivers are your problem. Get drivers for the T1200 and reconfigure them. It is really not that terribly hard. You just need to go through the menus until you get the desired results. Depending on your degree of knowledge and skill it can take several tries to achieve the desired results.

Hope this helps,

Yeah, we've been installing new drivers.  The HP rep is here and we're experimenting right now.  We have the feeling it might be 64-bit versus 32-bit causing some of our problems.
