SDRMap 6.5

SDRMap 6.5

Posted by Adam Wood_4 on Sep 16, 2018 7:57 am

I am trying to get some data from some old jobs that have resurfaced.

All of the old data files were created in SDRMap V6.5.

Has anyone had any success getting SDR to run on Windows 10 64 Bit.

I have tried DOS Box and vDOS without any luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Adam

If you are still having trouble, why not ask Sokkia (Topcon) for assistance. They might be able to give you the data format so you can extract some of the data from your files if not allow you to run the program or they might have a translation program that you can use. (I know. Topcon, right?)

If the data is in the "SDR" file format, you can process them in Carlson Survey and with a little editing they can be renamed fbk files and used in Civil 3D.

Search your data directory for *.SDR, *.CR5, *.RW5.  Any one of those files contain the data for the project.  The CR5 file is a proprietary coordinate file whereas the other two are ASCII file formats and can contain or be modified for collection of line work.  These files can be processed through Civil3D, MicroSurvey, Carlson, and various other programs.  An *.SDR is easily converted to a CSV file through a spreadsheet program using space delimited columns.
