Roy Hill of Aerial Services examines the concepts of cost, quality and accuracy, and he looks at how to get the most out of your geospatial projects.

A key point when considering your project requirements and cost is to understand your schedule tolerances. Knowing your hard deadlines and where you have some flexibility can add cost and make a project more difficult to complete and meet accuracy specifications.

Thank you for posting this article John. I have attended several lectures given by Knud Hermansen. Dr. Hermansen once wrote on the blackboard these three woords... "Good, Fast and Cheap". He then turned to the class and said something like... you can have any two but not all three. - pm
