Weekend trip

Just got back from Deral's state of OK. Saw lots of casinos, horses & sooners. Found out what a Boomer Sooner was. In 2 weeks heading to the Smoky Mtns. Hope trees will be at their best. Hoping to see Dolly - wish me luck.

Clue me in to what a Boomer Sooner is? All I know is what I've seen of the horse and wagon flying across the field during OU football games. Enjoy your upcoming trip to the Smokeys. Can you bring me back a full-time gig?

Sooners is the name given to settlers who entered the Unassigned Lands before the President officially proclaimed them open to settlement

Boomer Sooner is the fight song for the University of Oklahoma. The tune is taken from "Boola Boola", the fight song of Yale University

The lyrics in the first verse refer to the Land Run of 1889, in which the land around the modern university was settled.^[2] Boomers were people that entered the territory legally, after the official opening. Sooners settled beforehand, giving them an unfair advantage on finding, fencing, and claiming farm land. If the charge of early entry was proven, they would lose their claimed land.

I visited the stadium while there & swear you could parachute from top seats.

Will look around for work while in Tenn. Nothing yet? Was hoping things were changing around here. I found a way to get things to pick up - send half of your field guys out to Indiana for 3 weeks. Got pretty busy here, but they're returning tomorrow, so backlog will dwindle quickly.

Hopefully something will turn here & you won't have to go to Tenn.

Not planning to head to TN anytime soon, at least not for employment. Might have to consider a move back to the big city in IL one of these days. That or get serious about a career change.
